Henna

The summer I turned 15.

I visited my family in Singapore and Malaysia.

We went to Batu Caves, ancient limestone caves, where I glimpsed upon a small stand with a line for henna! Of course I wanted to partake and have one myself. I was amazed by the speed and designs the talented ladies were sharing!

My kind aunt suggested I should try, knowing my background with arts. The next week she dropped off a few boxes of henna cones and told me to practice.

Four months later I am doing my first customers at an ice-cream store! Since then, I have done parties, school events, store events, and friends' hands! Through henna I have sharpened my steadiness and experienced socializing with adults. I hope to partake in more events soon and maybe do henna on you!
